Sevenoaks district occupies west Kent's commuter belt, stretching along the county's borders with London, Surrey and East Sussex. The district takes in the towns of Sevenoaks, Swanley, Edenbridge and Westerham, with a population of around 121,000.
The area holds several significant historic properties. Knole, a vast medieval house set within a deer park, adjoins Sevenoaks town centre. Near Westerham stands Chartwell, the family home of Winston Churchill. In the south-west of the district, Hever Castle was the childhood home of Anne Boleyn.
